Equine sessions are integrative, individualized, and guided by the horse’s nervous system.

Rather than charging per modality or per minute, each visit is offered as a single session fee — allowing care to unfold based on what your horse needs most in that moment.

My work supports regulation, release of tension, improved mobility, and restoration of balance — paced according to the horse’s comfort and capacity.

Equine Services

integrative equine bodywork

How I work:

Each session is full-body and may incorporate one or more supportive modalities, including:

✤ Craniosacral Therapy

✤ Animal Neuro-Myofascial Release (ANMR)

✤ Cold Laser Therapy

✤ Kinesiology Taping

✤ Myofascial & Soft Tissue Techniques

Modalities are not pre-selected. They are chosen in response to what the horse presents during the session.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST)

A gentle, hands-on approach that supports nervous system regulation and structural balance.

CST may help horses experiencing:

  • Pain or stiffness

  • Anxiety or hypervigilance

  • Recovery from slips or falls

  • Head or TMJ tension

  • Sensitivity after dental work

  • Back discomfort

  • Postural or gait changes

Cold Laser

Person using a hoof trimmer on a horse's hoof outdoors.

Low-level laser therapy supports tissue healing, reduces inflammation, and promotes cellular repair by increasing ATP production.

This modality may be used for acute or chronic discomfort, including arthritic changes and soft tissue strain.

Kinesiology Taping

Elastic therapeutic taping that supports muscle function, joint stability, circulation, and recovery while allowing natural movement.

A Tribute to the Horse

Every horse teaches us something new.

Horses are generous and will try their hearts out for us.

Horses are giving and forgiving. They simply “do” because we ask them to.

They give us so much in return for our care and attention.

They perform amazing feats because we ask them to yet, they rely on us for their well-being and happiness.

We make choices for them with hopes that they too may have some choice and a “voice” about their life.

Horses are amazing human care-takers too. They breathe softly in our ears and stand next to us quietly when we cry.

They provide a therapeutic connection to young and aged alike.

They connect to those of us who are troubled, abused, traumatized by war and by life.

They offer their hearts out to help let us heal.

They simply imply, “I am here for you.”

They allow us to “just be”.

They teach us to be in the present moment and allow us to gain confidence in our abilities.

They  teach us how to exercise patience.

They show us how to set clear boundaries, break our goals down into ordered steps to facilitate learning, and master nonverbal communication.

They teach us how to face and conquer our fears, let go of anxiety and behave in a transparent manner.

They help us be better humans through tolerance and openness by showing us how they “see” and interpret the world (which is different than how we “see” it).

When we have win their hearts with trust and gentle consistency, the bond between horse and human is ever so strong.

Dear Horse, Thank you for all you have taught me….It is with reverence and gratitude that I honor your spirit. May your spirit live within me forever!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Some common signs include stiffness, resistance under saddle, uneven gaits, girthiness, or just seeming “off.” Even subtle changes in attitude or performance can indicate physical discomfort. Bodywork is also great as regular maintenance to help prevent injuries and support overall wellness.

  • Please have your horse clean and dry, in a safe, quiet area where we can work without distraction. A flat area with good footing (like a barn aisle, wash rack, or stall) is ideal. If possible, avoid scheduling other services (like the farrier or vet) at the same time.

  • Yes, or someone who knows your horse well should be present. I’ll need to ask a few questions about your horse’s history, habits, and any areas of concern before we get started.

  • Equine sessions take place at the horse’s barn and are paced entirely by the horse. Session length varies based on tolerance, regulation, and responsiveness.

  • No. Animal bodywork does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. It works best as supportive care alongside veterinarians and trainers.

  • Absolutely. Bodywork is not a replacement for veterinary care, but it’s a powerful support tool. I’m always happy to collaborate with your vet, chiropractor, farrier, or trainer to provide well-rounded care for your horse.
