Craniosacral Therapist | Reiki Master & Teacher

Marti Edwards-Idtse, RN, MSN, CST

Founder, Equine Wellness Integration, LLC.

With over 35 years of experience in healthcare, I bring a deep understanding of physiology, anatomy, and neuroscience into my integrative healing practice. As a Registered Nurse, Certified Trauma-Informed Practitioner, Craniosacral Therapist, and Reiki Master & Teacher, my work centers on gentle, nervous system–guided care for humans.

I believe the body is an interconnected system — physical, emotional, and neurological — and that healing occurs when the nervous system feels safe, supported, and respected. My approach blends clinical knowledge with subtle, hands-on modalities that honor the body’s innate capacity for self-regulation and restoration.

The Bridge Between Humans & Animals

While my primary focus is Craniosacral Therapy and Reiki for humans, my work has been deeply shaped by years of working with animals — particularly horses.

My journey began through rescue and volunteer work with dogs and cats, where I witnessed firsthand how physical and emotional trauma can profoundly affect behavior, movement, and overall wellbeing. This early experience sparked a deeper exploration into trauma, fascia, and nervous system regulation across species.

Drawn to horses for their sensitivity and honesty within the nervous system, I devoted myself to studying the physical, neurological, and emotional aspects of equine health. Over a decade ago, I began working with horses experiencing trauma-related behavioral and movement patterns, applying gentle bodywork techniques to support regulation, relieve pain, and restore balance.

While humans and horses are different, they share fundamental biological truths. As mammals, both possess a nervous system that governs arousal and regulation, a body that adapts to internal and external stressors, and an innate drive for connection — to self, to others, and to the environment.

These shared principles continue to inform my work today.

Our Philosophy
Connection through
Recognition & Touch

Healing begins with recognition, recognizing the nervous system, the lived experience within the body, and the wisdom each being carries.

Whether working with humans or animals, I approach each session with presence, consent, and deep listening. My integrative therapies support physical and emotional wellness through gentle techniques that release tension, restore balance, and help the nervous system return to a state of ease.

Much of my work centers on fascia and nervous system regulation, addressing compensatory patterns related to trauma, injury, and chronic stress. When the body feels safe, healing unfolds naturally.
